A group of celebrity "artists" gathered together to harness their creativity in order to help the chronically homeless children Youth Off The Streets assist every day and night. The artwork created was phenomenal, and the auction proceeds were all donated to Youth Off The Streets. Check out the pictures from last year here! As last years event was such a resounding success, it has become an annual event. Once again this year, Youth Off The Streets has been given a full session at Artescape, an innovative art-based activity where individual participants paint their pressures away. Equipped with a range of bright acrylic paints and canvases and a host of very unusual paint applicators, such as whips, chains, fly swatters and eggs, our "artists" will create some quite spectacular and visual pieces. They will also have a great time! Our team of celebrity artists for 2003 includes: Margaret Whitlam, Angry Anderson, sports icons , television personalities, media identities, big-business bosses and even a real artist! A full list of celebrities who are participating can be found on the latest updates page. We're thrilled that they are coming out to play and support the work of Youth Off The Streets! The masterpieces created will be exhibited around Sydney city and then auctioned at an exclusive event to be held at Establishment on Wednesday, 30th July 2003. McGrath Estate Agents' champion auctioneer, Scott Kennedy-Green, will manage the bidding frenzy, with entertainment from some of Sydney's funkiest musicians. A special wine has been donated by the Winemakers Federation of Australia, to complement the gourmet fare provided by Establishment's celebrated chefs. Red Bull will give us all wings and soft drinks provided by Cadbury Schweppes will keep us all refreshed and enjoying this special night. This is a major part of Youth Off The Street's fundraising calendar and as such we need you to assure its success. All proceeds from the evening will go to support the work of Youth Off The Streets.
