Stop it ! One of you mongrels hit me in the face. Who was that? Yes, we thought, well everyone celebrates their 50th and their 100th...we'd celebrate our 3rd. Now, of course, unfortunately the whole nation I must say has stopped to celebrate the big 3rd episode of Rove...It warms me, it really does...but there has been one sour point and I'm talking about the big fight between Paul Keating and John Howard that happened this week. You know boys, hey for the love of the 3rd show - break it up ! I mean...come on ! But...Paul Keating came out this wek and had a red hot go at the PM and he attacked him on 3 different fronts...on his stance in East Timor, his philosophies on the monarchy and the fact that he talks funny. You know, Keating did his research, hit him where it hurts and he said that the PMs stance on East Timor was the worst foreign policey disaster this country has ever made. Second only to the one we made when we thought it would be a good idea to send Bruce Samazan to solve the Bosnian crisis. Heck, he's been on Neighbours, Home and Away and E-Street - how are we to know? The other thing he said was that John Howard sees himself as a false champion of civil rights. As well as a false champion of the World Wrestling Federation. But Howard was quick to respond with "I'll meet you at a hardcoreone on one cage fight for the title, Keating !" No...no...there was no joke, that was just a funny voice...don't provoke me...and when actually told that he has fossilized views of society, John Howard said "look, the only views I care about are those of the Australian voters out there on their Pennyfarthings, riding down the shop to get a shillings worth of humbugs." The other thing, in closing that Paul Keating said in his statement was that John Howard is constantly getting reality checks, he's always getting mugged by reality...which has me getting this image of John Howard walking down a dark alleyway, a mugger comes out with a balaclava on, and just holds up a mirror, and John Howard goes "Oh, I do look like Mr Sheen"...cause he does!
