[rove home] [rove episode guide] [rove transcripts] [rove/pete/corinne/dave pics] ROVE MONOLOGUE EPISODE TEN Alright, alright, cut it out, you're not fooling anyone, you're all drunk...now, it is the last show, I'll say this right off the top...I hope you've got all your aeriels fixed in your television, pressed the vcr on the little red button that says record...this one's gonna be a big one..are we ready for it ? Hell yeah...I don't know, people have already asked us of course - last show of season 99...number one for Rove...you've got so many more to go...ahhh...please... People have been asking what are we going to do over the break, and I know what I'm gonna be doin...I'm gonna be brushing up on my streaking, oh yeah hey I'm only human...But the reason for this is this week, they came out, all the SOCOG kiddies...have said that if you're gonna be caught streaking at the Olympics, you're only going to be fined five hundred bucks...Which is chicken feed really as far as I'm concerned, and the interesting part of this is they've described streaking...they said people will be fined $ 500 for their 'performance'...okay, I'm not offae with the world of streakage, but I didn't know it was considered a 'performance'.... Okay, I've never left a theatre and had a whole lot of people with red wine going "Oh yes, yes magnificent performance, yes, yes, tremendous boobage...it was just absolutely tremendous...." I don't remember there being a streaking award at the recent 'People's Choice Awards' Don't remember that at all...although, you know I am going for the 'best bum' Logie at the Logies next year...(poses)...and that's May in my new calender, so keep an eye out for that... But, since seeing streakers as performers, I think is quite odd, I don't think that after they've done the big streak that the performers are going to be running off the tracks at the Olympic Park going..."well, I wasn't quite happy with that.." All well wishers will be giving hem flowers, they'll be waiting for the reviews just going..."I don't think I was quite nude enough..." You know, but that's alright, and I think it could be a problem though if you start getting streakers at the Olympics...I think it's good that they should be fined maybe to keep them off because it could cause a lot of problems with some of the events...I think you could be half way through a relay...you've got someone going "let go of the baton ! let go of the baton ! that's not a baton !"...only to turn and find a red faced streaker going "that aint a batton..." I'm sorry, but being fined $500 they've actually said that that's quite light and I think that's alright, that's a fair call and I think streakers are very relieved because the previous penalty involved paper cuts and lemon juice...so...lets not go there...for the final time this series in 1999, lets talk to the kids on the couch !
