[rove home] [rove episode guide] [rove transcripts] [rove/pete/corinne/dave pics] MARTY MAKES A MOVE "MARTY MAKES A MOVE" was an episode of the ABC kids series "KABOODLE" which was filmed way back in 1987 (or thereabouts...) It can be found on one of the six KABOODLE videos that are sparsely scattered around video shops (Note: They are hard to find...I think ROVEs gone and borrowed most of them out under a false identity trying to leave as little evidence of the existance of KABOODLE as possible...) "MARTY MAKES A MOVE", featured the talents of a very charming young man called John (ie. Rove) Mc Manus!!! Who could have ever imagined that the humble MARTY could ever go on to host his very own tv show, and be adored by millions of people! (maybe not?) Poor Marty had to move away from all his friends in the city and moved to the country where there were no boys in his class at school...just girls!!! he he he...Oh, and his teacher just so happened to be Dr Karl Kennedy of NEIGHBOURS!!!! Anyway, the film basically only goes for about 15 minutes and the plot dosn't really go anywhere...Marty makes gazillions of deep and meaningless gazes as he's very sad to have left all his friends in the city and unhappy to be stuck with a bunch of girls...He also skateboards an awful lot, wonder if it was really him doing all that skateboarding (I checked the credits and he even has a body double!!!) He does flash his "kodak moment, winning smile" once though...and...is also a part of his schools netball team...
