WHAT ARE ROVE AND THE KIDS ON THE COUCH UP TO THIS YEAR?!...this is what EPOD has found out...03/02/00 Well, unlike the rumours suggest, Channel Nine has not axed ROVE...ROVE will be back in 2000. The only problem is none of the original ROVE team will be involved. Channel Nine decided to go for cheap, second rate replacements when ROVE knocked back Nines' offer for the coverted "HEY HEY IT'S SATURDAY" timeslot...These replacement actors would work cheap, and also had no problem being part of a program which is also said to involve a man dancing around in a ducksuit?! A Channel Nine publicist who didn't wish to be named said "The new cast also look an awful lot like the original cast members... No one watched the first season of ROVE anyway because it was crap, and we put it on too late and gave the show no publicity...people won't know the difference...trust me!" ...yeah whateva says Epod.... Below are the first pics released of the new and improved 2000 ROVE cast... Roves place will be taken by the inimitable (eeek! says Epod), Daryl Somers Spunky (ugrh!) Pugwall will take over from Pete Rachel Griffiths will be pretending to be Corinne Grant Dave will be played by this super sexy viking man! But, you say...what will become of the REAL kids from ROVE?! Well..wonder no more...*crisis over!* ...they'll all be going back to doing what they were doing before they got their own show...ROVE will be back on his regular 5am garbo run...in his spare time, it has been suggested that ROVE will be working on an exciting new creative project with the sensational Bruce Samazan... Dave is looking forward to going to Sydney to become a busker, he said that he wants to be one of those people who pretend to be statues...Said Dave "I was so inspired when I saw someone dressing up as the Statue of Liberty, I just so much wanted to try it myself...when asked by Epod what sort of statue he'd be, Dave said (in his grrrr...very sexy accent...)"oh, I think I want my statue to be a big bum..."Can't wait for that one says EPOD!!! Corinne will be following up her success in "Muriels' Wedding" with another appearance in Muriels' Wedding 2"...she's also hoping to appear on John Burgess' Catchphrase in 2000..."Oh Johnny's such a sexy beast, if only I could be on Catchphrase, my life would be complete", says Corinne... Pete will finally get the chance of having his own show when Bert Newton hands over the reins of "The Bert Newton show" to him...Pete has decided however to rename the show "Who really gives a s**t anyway?" and is looking forward to selling heaps of ab rockers to 86 year olds that don't really need them anyway...
