ROVE GOES LIVE TO A MUM SOMEWHERE

After a terrible mishap transpired involving the combination of a pogo stick,the majestic bearded one, oh...and an *alleged* Tonia Toddman sighting, Rove was given the task to inform Daves' mum about his terrible injury. This is the transcript of the phonecall he had with Daves' mum !

ROVE : hello!

DAVES' MUM : yes hello

ROVE : Is that Auntie Blebis?

DAVES' MUM : Is that Uncle Blebis?

ROVE : No, it's Rovey Pove ! How are you?

DAVES' MUM : How are you Rove?

ROVE : I'm very well. I'm actually calling you live on the tv at the moment.

DAVES' MUM : ah ha ha ha har! I LOVE you!

ROVE : I'm the bearer of bad news, I'm afraid...

DAVES' MUM : Oh what do you mean?

ROVE : The young bearded lad...

DAVES' MUM : Don't tell me he's cut off his...(pause)...beard!

ROVE : You should be so lucky, I'm afraid he took a bit of a tumble today.

DAVES' MUM : Oh, Rove...he's pregnant!!!...do I hear clapping!?

ROVE : Yes, the audience loved it!

DAVES' MUM : Darling, go on, tell me more!

ROVE : You're slaying them!

PETE : Rove, tell them we're very much in love, its okay!

DAVES' MUM : Oh Pete, how are you my dear?

ROVE : Mrs Dave!

PETE : That was the accent

DAVES' MUM : No, seriously, was he hurt?

ROVE : Oh he can tell you himself I'm sure, Dave...

DAVE : Um, mum, I twisted my ankle on a pogo stick...

DAVES' MUM : What the hell were you doing on a pogo stick?! You don't even know how to ride a bike! Dave, Dave, do you need me to come and get you and take you home?

ROVE : If you could fly over, that would be a treat!

DAVES' MUM : No, is he really bad?

ROVE : It's alright. I think it's alright. We went to the doctors today, and he's fine. He has got crutches though.

DAVES' MUM : Oh, not again!

ROVE : I'm afraid so...but, it was all in the name of comedy, if that's alright?

DAVES' MUM : That's okay, once it's in the name of comedy, we don't care!

PETE : Mrs Callan, his testicles are OKAY!
