ROVE [LIVE] - EPISODE ONE

THE MONOLOGUE

Rove talked about how John Howard and other politicians have been going a bit overboard with celebrations with olympic athletes and volunteers. "...it seems it's the new equivalent of kissing babies...to be passed over...to do a bit of crowd surfing, and they're passing over politician after politician, going there goes John Howard, there goes Bob Carr...thank god Kim Beazley's on holidays" Rove also mentioned that "a bribed audience is a happy audience".

GUESTS

* Rove crapped on for almost 15 minutes with Bert Newton. *yawn*

* Rove chatted to Kylie Minogue in an Op shop and chose some clothes for him. Rove - "Cause you are classy, and you have taste..." (cuts straight to kylie bum shot in Spinning Around video).

*James O'Loghlin talked to Rove about Channel 7 related stuff like the Olympics, Treasure Island, and the "adopt a dot" promotion. Rove asked some questions about the dots to a friendly ch7 security guard..."do you have a dot yourself? who came up for the idea for the dots? what happens to the poor little dots that don't get adopted? what do you do with them? can lesbians adopt dots?"

* Carl Barron did standup.

* Hoover the Wonderpig - who wasn't very wonderful at all. An annoying pig, with an even more annoying owner. "take a bow...take a bow..." *kick*

THE KIDS

* the kids got moved over to the other side of the set making banter between them and Rove difficult.
Rove : "Is the night going well from your perspective?"
Pete : "It's going beautifully...it's great to be back...we couldn't be more BACK if we were facing the other way".

* Pete also announced an "explusive". An exclusive that was, "so exclusive you could call it an exclusive." It was that he went to New York to interview the Backstreet Boys *ack*

NO LIFE

Rove : Some people like to store their cds alphabetically, others chronologically. I like to store my cds alphabetically by artist name and then chronologically by release date. I also like to keep them in colour spectrum order from lightest to darkest. Go on ask me where the Eagles "Hotel California" is.

ROVE [LIVE] FIRST EVER NIGHT TIME GARAGE SALE

The first ever night time garage sale was announced when people were invited to apply to have their garage sale televised live on tv. Rove : "It could be kinda exciting or it could be kinda Hoover the pig."

DES, DARREN, AND DARRYL

Des, Darren and Darryl showed us another good place to pick up chicks - the emergency room.
