It's good to be in Melbourne, with the electricity strike over. Some of you had a really hot summer, and I don't handle the heat very well, in fact I was the only person who got sunburnt at "Carols by Candlelight". I was a bit pissed off. I don't handle warm nights very well. We all know the rules. If you wake up in the middle of the night and you want to get back to sleep, here's the golden rule. You wake up in the middle of the night, you want to get back to sleep, it's too hot...one leg out of the doona - that's fantastic! Nobody told us, we just worked it out for ourselves. And, the other rule is, if you turn your pillow over - two degrees cooler for about three seconds. You've got to keep turning it over. I've got mine on a spit roast now. So, mixed tapes...I haven't got times to do links...We've all made mixed tapes, we've all gone to a party with a mix tape that we've been working on for six years and it used to be a lot harder to make mixed tapes. We had to tape songs off Casey Cassons (?) American Top 40. Yeah, and you know Casey used to always talk over the songs. You're trying to make your mixed tape, and Casey's there goin', "This song goes out to Jenny in Seattle. Jenny, this is from Bobby in Minnesota, he apologies for killing your parents," Shut the hell up Casey! I'm trying to make a mixed tape! Now I have to wait another week to tape, "Take on Me" by Aha. I'm outta here. You got really desperate. You'd just get two tape recorders and face them off against one another in the room. You play press play...record...okay? Play...record, and then you had to sneak out of that room really, really quietly. (mimes sneaking out of room really quietly)oh sh*t! I didn't press record. There would always be noise in the background. Dad's out the front mowin' the lawn, mums in the kitchen baking a cake with the blender...
