WEIRD SCIENCE - (WHAT THE BLEEP DOES GOD KNOW?)

Raised on religion, studied theoretical physics and taken more drugs than the average bear. Is it any wonder Tom Middlebrook is convinced his lighters travel in and out of parallel universes? Both science and religion can be hypocritical. Tom is hyper-critical of both with a literally acid-tinged tongue. See the show to find out the answers to such questions as why are we here? And what the hell do butterflies have to do with anything?

REALITY SMITES

Reality (Colliers Dictionary) ; 1. state or quality of being real. 2. real object, fact, or event. 3. Philosophy ; that which has real existence.
Life (oxford dictionary); 1. period from birth to death. This is a show about a search for reality and the meaning of life in all the wrong places. For the last year Tom Middlebrook has been on a search for reality, to see whether it is real or not. He watched reality TV, his collection of 1980’s cinema classics, spied on ASIO and rode the 86 tram. In the end he decided to get away from it all and took an imaginary trip to Mexico.

BALANCE OF POWER

This is a tale of "Corporate trash" meets "regular trash." She's the bitch, masquerading as a clone of conformity that will step on her own parents to get to the top! He's the bum who wants to start a revolution but can't remember where his drink is! Melbourne, Vic - Everyone has a story to tel and those stories could fill endless pages but who has the patience to ever look past the cover?

Lynn Williams and Tom Middlebrook present audiences with a cheats guide to this book review in a satirical and cynical poke at the divides of society. Judgemental stones are cast from both sides of the coin of idealism. Relying on quick repartee and razor sharp insights, both sides challenge long-held views on issues we all take so much for granted. Their arrogance, hypocrisy and disillusionment collide to create a kaleidoscope of crazy new, and suprisingly logical paradigms told through a combination of sketches and stand-up.

Down with the corporate cone of conformity and their bigoted ways. Down with the unemployed masses and their idealistic crap.
Hang on. They can't both be so right, or wrong, can they?
Come down to the Hotel Discovery, grab a beverage and find out!
