The Big Laugh Out, Federation Square, Melbourne - 06/05/06- by epod

After watching the previous weeks fantastic free show, "The Big Laugh Out", I was eagerly anticipating the next one. This was originally going to take place on the 5th of May, but due to poor weather was moved to the 6th of May.

Dave Williams was the MC again, and although he was okay, he did exactly the same jokes as he did the week before, so it was a little disappointing - but hey it was free, so why complain! With the wide variety of talent at the festival, I would have really enjoyed seeing a different comedian taking over the MC role though.

I had already seen all the acts that were on the bill at other shows, but they were all worth seeing again. When I first saw Birdmann at the Midnight to Dawn Festival Club, I wasn't impressed, but this time I really enjoyed his set. I think I will just write off that I was too sleepy when I first saw him to fully appreciate his oddly bizarre talents.

Freestyle Love Supreme were excellent, and while I was watching them, I was really disappointed that I had run out of time to see their full show before I went home. They are so talented, with such a great sense of humour. Hopefully these guys will be around for long enough for me to see them again!

Another really enjoyable show, with plenty of variety, and best of all free!
