this is just some paul mcdermott and comedy news. first, as the people who subscribeto thecomedychannel know, GNW is on weekdays at 2:30 PM and on Sundays at 6:30pm. second, DAAS Kapital will be on thecomedychannel's 'oz @ 8' timeslot onweeknights at, you guessed it, 8 pm. third, on wednesday the 1st of August PaulMcdermott will host part 2 of the world comedy tour. thecomedychannel will beavailable for all foxtel subscribers, even those who don't get thecomedychannel, for 24hours that day. fourth, there's a nice pic of Paul and an article in the August Foxtelmag. he says he's writing a series of children's books (!?). and lastly a bit of a rant. iwent to actually go and see the melbourne comedy festival debate that was on ten ontuesday. i thought that they wouldn't cut out much because it was all relevant. but no,the debate was given a 1-hour timeslot which meant that a lot of te good jokes andmaterial had to be cut out. i don't know about anyone else who went but i was prettyannoyed. pissed off in fact. gotta go now. cya! robyn ps. to anyone who attended thedebate and sat in the front row (lucky bastards!), did anyone manage to read what wason paul's nametag? he had this silver and black-looking one, like one you wear if youwork in a hotel.

okay...to the........who signed my guestbook below, who also didn't bother to leave an email address. I have two full scrapbooks of Southern Sons articles/information etc...leftover from my mild obsession with them when I was younger.Okies, for your information in response to your message below...well, yes they were around for quite a long time, however they were called "The State" and Phil was the singer. In fact, they were halfway into recording their album, "SouthernSons" when Jack joined. Okies, if you're going to be pedantic about Jack and Phil being in John Farnhams band, so be it but they were in it during the "Chain Reaction" tour, amongst others. When Southern Sons became one of the biggest bands in thecountry, obviously they had other commitments hence the comment saying "they were in Johns band before Southern Sons) Jack even went to Timor with John Farnham last year for the concert with the troops. Note that Phil also did a lot of songwriting for John Farnham as well. Oh and Jack Jones did the voice in the dgens five in a row song as well. Thats only some of the things I know about them. Before you have a go at someone, I suggest you get your own facts straight also.

I just wanted to let you know that where you said "...Jack Jones is back in John Farnhams' band (he and other Southern Son Phil were in it before Southern Sons)" you were not actually correct about that. They were not a part of the band 'before' theywere in Southern Sons, they played with the Farnham band begining with the tour they took with Farnham many years back (I forget the year now). Southern Sons were the support act for the Farnham tour, then they came back on stage after their set to playin the Farnham band. Needless to say, they worked very hard on that tour. However, my point is, Southern Sons were well and truly a 'band' in their own right before they ever played with the Farnham band. Infact, Southern Sons were a band long before Jack Jones even became the lead vocalist. Just thought you might like to know. Cheers!

Hi Epod. This is my second attempt to send an Email to you. I typed all this up lasttime and found out today that you would not have got it because I did not hit theSubmit key. Thanks for phoning me on the weekend I know I am slack for notphoning or writing recently. I haven't forgotten you so please keep in contact. I aboutsix weeks time we will be getting a new home computer and will be then hooked up tothe internet and have our own Email address so this will be great. How old computerhas been deceased for about six months now so we are all looking forward to thearrival of our next one. I am buying it as a special offer from my union and it will costme $9.50 a week over a period of 3 1/2 years to pay it off. I will send my first Emailon it to you. I have just been to see the most wonderful movie I have just about everseen in my entire life. I'm not sure if I can think of one that has inspired and motivatedme as much as "The Hurricane". It is a must see movie. I hope you go to see it andlove it as much as I did. Actually at nearly 40 (This August) years of age it is the firsttime I have ever been to a movie by myself. I thought I would feel terribly lonely but Iwas so absorbed by the movie I never felt lonely for a second. I will be sending myboys to see it before it leaves the big screen. Next I would like to tell you about"Angela's Ashes" what a wonderful book. It is a autobiography by Frank McCourt andit is the most brilliant book I have ever read (the Bible excepted). Please if you havenot already read it I'm sure you will love it as much as I did. The sequel "Tis" is goodbut no where as good as it's predecessor. I have an RDO today and have thoroughlyenjoyed it so far. It's like being paid to play "hookey". Last weekend we weresupposed to go Townsville to watch Huxley play rep basketball for Mackay but itrained so much up there that the roads were cut both north and south of Townsville.Have run out of room. Love your page my dear, you will have to tune it up a bit you have stuck too much onthe front page, you shall have to split up the place a bit more, and yes the animationsare slowing down the bandwidth considerably so maybe cut down a bit on them, theyare too big and too slow thought they look good they are not making it easy to viewyour place properly, people require great deal of patience to fully look at this site, butover all it is quite good, you should check your page with (www.websitegarage.com)they will aid you in modification of your site - good luck...
