| Welcome to Epods Ratcat Site! |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (the pics accompanying this article are coming soon) Let’s just get this straight from the start. It was not a typical English summer day. In the first place the sun was shining; and secondly, there was some decent music on the radio (a miracle!) with Ratcat’s ‘That Ain’t Bad’ blaring out and making all that SAW/house/Manchester stuff sound really boring! In fact, it was the perfect day to meet up with Simon, Amr, and Andrew to do a spot of sightseeing, so I gave them a call and said ‘Meet me at Leicester Square in half an hour’. Simon sounded a little confused on the other end of the phone and asked ‘Where’s that?’. ‘It’s blue on the Monopoly board’, I replied helpfully. Strangely enough, that’s where I found them…” 1. Firstly, the interview! Simon quickly notes that English girls are different to those back home. “They’re a lot paler aren’t they, and a bit more petite too.” Amr’s still worrying about a girl in Australia who told him to beware of salty biscuits and the number eight! (weird!) 2. Next stop - Trafalgar Square. Umm…now where exactly is that again? Simon’s got the right idea, Amr’s still confused, and Andrew’s hungry. 3. At last - Nelson’s Column (that’s in Trafalgar Square) and Simon insists on showing us how he plays with his cat (did you know that was who he wrote ‘Baby Baby’ about?). Andrew’s grumbling. “I want some real English food, like fish and chips!” 4. “OK, Don,” says Simon. “We’ll find some fish and chips for you. Hey, look at this, more cats! I think I like this town!” 5. Food at last! And the look on their faces says it all - yukko! Amr wants to know if he has to swallow it. Simon is definitely not going to swallow it, and Andrew admitted after his first mouthful that “…I’m not so hungry anymore.” Welcome to London, guys! |
