Published letters to the editor re: NT shag bus [read]
Below is the link to the original news story (it went on to be published worldwide!) about the bus. Since the current laws in the N.T have a brothel ban, this is never going to be passed. Sorry to excite you all, but great news story - how about highlighting the unworkable laws in the N.T instead?

Following are two media articles: One where a sex worker gives a client a hit of drugs at his request and wakes up next morning with him stone cold.
2 clients give a sex worker a hit of drugs at her request yet doesn't call an ambulance when she is obviously dying.
Why on earth do the clients get off with $300 fine, yet the sex worker is banned from going back to her workplace, and charged with his death with court proceedings to follow. Sex work in Sydney is legal- it's better then legal its decriminalised. - Jessie.

Eye on illegal prostitution [read]
Jessies take on things:
The wording of this article makes it sound like that all sex workers are illegal workers and criminals. So for the uneducated public it would sound like it you see a hooker you should call the police. More information about the laws should of been added to this article: that private workers working alone, who are only offering protected services and not working from a licensed premise such as a pub- it's totally legal. Not to mention the total waste of tax payers money policing pleasure- in a state that entrapment by the police is legal.
