Triple J's hilarious Merrick and Rosso continue their return to standup at the Valhalla, in Glebe this week. The show has evolved from its beginnings in Perth earlier this year, when the lads were using some flashy pyrotechnics.

On one occasion, Rosso walked out on stage and bent down to extinguish some burning gaffer tape from their colourful into, but had miscounted the number of explosions - and copped the last one fair in the face.

Unhurt except for some powder burns, Rosso continued the show until shock set in 20 minutes later and he rushed off to wash the residue from his face. Consequently, there are no more fireworks (apart from the verbal variety).
