HUGH RIMINTON

Mr Hugh is not only a highly respected journalist, he is also a top bloke, with a wicked sense of humour!

I first contacted Mr Hugh via email back in 2002, and wasn't sure what his reaction would be (or even if I would get a response at all!). In my email, I told Mr Hugh that a certain section of his show, "Nightline" was troubling me.

See, at the end of each episode of Nightline he would ruffle papers for a second and then put his pen in his pocket. Night after night I would watch him do exactly the same thing, and to be honest, it was getting a bit tedious and unimaginative. It was then that I decided to email him some suggestions of new and interesting ways to keep myself and any other avid viewers of Nightline interested.

Imagine my surprise when not only did Mr Hugh respond to my email, but also began to get very creative with plenty of different paper/pen handling activities in the ensuing editions of Nightline. My highlight of his many paper handling activities would most definately be when he shuffled papers which had EPOD scrawled on the back of them!

Anyhoos what started as a simple email ended up developing into my officially unofficial Mr Hugh website. A website which contains numerous poorly photo shopped pictures of Mr Hugh, a few interviews with the good man himself (as well as an interview he sent me!), challenges of the week, surveys, even Mr Hugh puzzles, and a creative writing section! All of which I am exceptionally proud of, and also eternally grateful to Mr Hugh for not requesting the site be shut down!
