The D-Gen is a collective of people who are very funny, exceptionally talented, and who have contributed so much to the Australian entertainment industry. Under the name of the D-Generation they produced hugely popular tv and radio shows, as well as a number of cds, videos and dvds. Since its first inception, the lineup of the D-Gen changed considerably. I didn't catch any of the really early d-gen episodes, but they are available on dvd, so will hopefully see them at some point.
Past members of the D-Gen have gone on to do other equally entertaining and successful projects such as "Frontline", and "The Panel". I also loved the film Crackerjack, which starred Mick Molloy and a few other Late Show cast members such as Judith Lucy and Tony Martin.
Some of the original D-Gen members formed a production company called "Working Dog', which has worked on various projects, including releasing two very successful films, "The Castle", and "The Dish". My favourite D-Gen production was "The Late Show", which was an hour long comedy show on the ABC on Saturday nights at 10pm. My favourite segments were : Shitscared, Charlie The Wonderdog, and Rob Sitch's hilarious impersonations of people.
