AMANDA KELLER

I first saw Amanda Keller in the 80s when she was a reporter on the show "Beyond 2000". For those who don't know what that show was about, it was about new and 'exciting' (well for some) advances in science and technology. A few years after that I saw her on the fabulous show 'Denton' which she regularly appeared on.

I remember her most for being the person who introduced me to 'Safety Man', a US invention which was basically a life sized dummy which you could go driving with in your car, the theory being that you were less likely to be car-jacked if you had the 'lifelike' (ha!) 'Safety Man' seated next to you. Amanda even had a brief relationship with 'Safety Man' *how romantic* !

Her other segment in the show was 'Amanda's handy hints' where she, as the name suggests gave out handy (but possibly life threatening) hints. Amanda then moved to Foxtel where she hosted 'The Hub'. She was a regular guest on 'Good News Week', co-hosted the 2000 Mardi Gras in Sydney, was part of the Triple M breakfast show, and is currently hosting "Mondo Thingo" on the abc.
