EPOD SKIPS ANOTHER DAY!

Well...as you may (or may not) have guessed, I have been really busy moving out (and having fights with real estate agents), hence me not posting anything here yesterday either ;) But...here's a rundown of the last two days!

Well...I packed pretty much everything up and was like "Omigawd!!!" I've actually done it. I never thought I would leave my apartment in the city but oh well...I have now! The new place is fantastic...omigawd...it has windows...that open!!! (my apartment had windows but they didn't open. So...yeah. I now have fresh air as opposed to air conditioning! I have floorboards in my room (as opposed to carpet which I had in my apartment) and I've found it to be mildly amusing rolling around the floor on my computer chair (cause it's got wheels you see - can't roll around on carpet!) Um...yeah. That's pretty much it, except that I am very happy at the moment!!!

I've been up all day and night (again) arranging (and re-arranging) my room. I should really get some sleep but I really want to get as much stuff sorted as possible! Grrr...I've got to go to my old apartment later today early in the morning. They're having an open house so I have to go and clean up some of the crap I have left in there. I'm hoping to have everything taken out by tomorrow night. I also have to wait around for a carpet cleaner to show up...grrrr. I haven't really left a lot of stuff in my apartment...just left some cleaning stuff and my stereo and a table so I can (hopefully) get all the zillions of blu tak marks off the walls. LOL. Should be fun.

Hmm. yeshies...anyways...you probably want to hear about the removalists...well...they were *heaps* dodgy...they didn't speak english - AT ALL. I was sooooo pissed at them! I detest people who come to this country who try to do business who are unable to speak english. Anyways...I had to pay them for a minimum of 2 hours...so...well..they looked like they were stuffing me about trying to take longer than it should so I "helped" move my stuff so that I could keep an eye on them.

All my stuff was in the truck and then the guys get on their mobile phones for aaages and I was like...quit wasting MY time. Of course they did not speak english so there was not a lot I could do - I mean, I couldn't exactly tell them to....*ahem* off cause all my stuff was already in their truck. Grr. But...all turned out okay in the end...I got to my new place and I and my housemate helped them move the stuff and it was done fairly quickly with no problems.

Now all I need to do is to get back to arranging my stuff in my new room! (or maybe just sleep for a couple of hours!)...hmmm.

NAUGHTY EPOD!

Well...what can I say? I was naughty (again) and didn't write anything here yesterday either *slaps self*. I did log into the internet yesterday but was too exhausted to write anything! (...oh...and also last night I was *ahem!*...forced...to have a swim at midnight!!! So...yeppies...I've been BUSY...so NER!!!

I've been arranging, and re-arranging my room....and then re-arranging it again. I finally got my room sorted out tonight...well...early this morning after re-arranging it for the sixteenth time. I haven't packed everything away properly yet but all the boxes are hidden under my bed so it looks clean...ish.

Bahahaha. I had a bit of an *ahem!*...accident (almost) when I was rearranging the stuff in my room...see...I have a fan that hangs from the roof...and...it was on...and...I forgot I had a fan hanging from the roof...and...I lifted up my huge inflateable whale and it...well...you can guess what happened next. Actually...the whale *appears* to have escaped unscathed. *makes note to self...don't let any tall people into my room without switching the fan off otherwise they might get a (free) haircut. Bahahaha.

I was up until around 5am yesterday and then didn't wake up until 330 pm (oopies!) I went to clean up the rest of my apartment. LOL had no luck getting rid of the millions of blu tak marks...bahahaha..the real estate agent is going to be pleased with me ;) LOL...well...I guess that's what bond money is for. :P I get to hand back the keys today. They have to be handed in by 10am...grrr...

Goodnight!

WOOHOO!

Ahh...what a great day...well...aside from the rain which I would have usually appreciated...not today though, cause it is soooo inconvienient trying to move stuff in the rain! Today I cleaned and took the last bit of stuff that was left in my apartment to my new place. I was going to drop the keys back to the real estate today but I didn't cause...well...I had too much crap to carry, plus it was raining...and bottom line, I just couldn't be stuffed! They have to be in by 10am today...I think I can handle that. Particularly if it stops raining!

Spent most of last night blu-tacking some of my trillions of posters to the walls. I haven't finished yet, but the room looks much better now that I have hidden some of the icky walls. Still unpacking stuff...lots more to go...I'm just happy that my old apartment is now totally clean and that I'm definately getting rid of the keys today. When the final inspection with the real estate is over I will feel much better!

Wow. I'm going really well on Ebay at the moment too ;) What a great thing it is to do Ebay full time!

- EPOD -

EPOD GETS A GREEN STAR ;)

Woo hoo!!! I now have (100) feedback comments for Ebay, and that means a different coloured star next to my username in all my auctions *smiles*.

Had an okay day today...handed in the keys to the real estate agent...and almost saw someone get hit by a car (well...a taxi cab) in the city (not that that was good). I really wish it would stop raining though!!! Grrr.

I was walking home in the rain today and I heard this "excuse me" behind me. This (young) school aged girl was there...considering the footpath is of a reasonable size I have no idea why she bothered...but yeah...she did...So...anyways I kinda give her a "what the?" look...and then she walks past and turns around and says to me..."you know, you really shouldn't carry your mobile phone like that, it could get damaged." She was lucky that I didn't have the energy or inclination to say something smart to her...would I really be carrying it if I thought it would get damaged - noooooooo...and even if I was, is it any of her business? I think not. Some people!!!! *kick*

I get to do the final inspection of my apartment tomorrow morning with my real estate agent. LOL I can't wait till she sees the blu tack marks on the walls. hehe. Ooopies.

OOOOPIES!!!

LOL. I have continued to be very slack keeping this online diary thing up to date...sorry! Basically...on top of moving and getting 60 plus Ebay auctions sorted (ie. organising payment/postage/etc) I have been kept exceptionally busy! I have already sent and recieved almost 300 emails relating to Ebay for February alone! Basically, I'll clear one big lot of emails out of my inbox and then there'll be a heap more arrive...LOL!!!

Yesterday I went into the city to meet some people to deliver to them the stuff they had bought off me on Ebay. I met three people all up and it went very well and they were all very nice! I bought a heap of postpaks from the Post Office which I have pretty much used now (I need more postpaks grrrr!)...now I get to post them all today...I think I have almost 20 parcels to lug to the post office today...including two huge ones....grrrr. Should be fun.

I went to visit (one of) the *nice* supervisors at my old work yesterday as I had some time to spare inbetween meeting the people I was delivering the Ebay stuff to. I was going to see if he wanted to have lunch with me...but...yeah he was really busy and looked a bit (well...a lot) stressed...could have had something to do with a couple of the store managers hanging about nearby I guess...and well yeah...he didn't say too much and lunch didn't happen...bahaha rejected LOL. I will have to warn him that if he doesn't watch out he too might turn into a narky and unresponsive supervisor ;) That would not be a good thing.

I caught up with someone else there instead for her 10 minute (well...fifteen...maybe twenty minute break LOL)...turns out the supervisor who got beaten up by a shoplifter (that I wrote about in early January in this diary if you want to read it) ended up leaving - good on him I say!

Apparently he didn't resign, he just said that he was unavailable. Another one of the supervisors got into a bit of trouble the other night and they moved him to another department bahaha...sooooo...*allegedly* now they are down to three supervisors! That leaves everyone who works there with two nice (but very stressed out) supervisors and one narky unresponsive supervisor. Oh I am so sorry that I left there. bahahaha.

AHEM! TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES...

Well...yes...um...it's now the 10/02/02 and you may (or may not) have noticed that there was no post here yesterday...would you believe though that it wasn't because I was too busy though? Yes, that's right. Epod wasn't really busy doing anything yesterday...um...except perhaps eating and sleeping. Blogger was acting *very* weird so I chose to disregard...but all appears to be well today...well...so far.

I've spent the last couple of days going through the latest lot of stuff that I will be putting up on Ebay soon. Before I moved out of my old place, I went through all my old magazines and ripped out all the articles/posters/etc that people *might* be interested in buying from me on Ebay...anyways, this resulted in an absolutely HUGE box full of stuff, which I have spent basically the majority of the last two days filing away into a multitude of manilla folders. Great fun as you could imagine.

Umm...yeah. I can't think of much else to write today...too little brain cells....

FIXED!

Oookies...all technical difficulties have been sorted out...soooo...you can expect posts here daily again :)

Happy Valentines day *grrrrrrr*. Hmm...I should go and buy myself a big bunch of flowers. I never get flowers...not on Valentines day, not ever! Actually...I did buy myself flowers once though. I was walking down the street with them and everyone was giving me these "oooher! look who's just got lucky" looks. I wanted to tell them that I had just paid $20 for them. LOL.

I had (another) fight with the guy in the post office yesterday. Because I've moved I've been using a different post office to post all the many Ebay parcels that I have. Note that I have not had any troubles posting anything at the other post office which I usually use...

It all started out very well on the first day at the new post office when I took twenty something parcels in to get posted and the lady in there was *very* nice...then the next day I went in with more parcels and saw the guy and he said, "Do you want stamps on this?"...I was like..."Yes, I want to post this letter of course I want stamps!!!" (well, actually they put a label not stamps on it when one posts a parcel on the same day...but anyways...back to the story)...so...he was like (again) "So you want stamps?"...this went on for a while and I was like...I JUST WANT TO POST THE LETTER DAMMIT!!!

He then held up the postpack where I had written $5 in the corner (something to remind me about one of my Ebay sales) and said, but you've got $5 written in the corner. I was like..."Yes! I have...and it has NOTHING to do with you or posting the letter, hence why I did not mention it to you!!!" Grrrr. Idiot. So yeah, he puts a sticker for $7 something on it...turns out that was why he was asking if I wanted stamps - because he looked at the $5 that I had written on the postpack. GRRRRR. I loathe people who waste my time.

Sooo...anyways, I went in again yesterday and had some more things to post. The first thing I say when I go in is "I would like to post these letters". The guy goes "So do you want stamps?" I was like...EXCUSE ME??? He says again "Do you want stamps?" I said (again) "I would like to post these letters". He says, "I'm not a mind reader, you need to tell me what you want to do". I was like..."I wasn't asking you to be a mind reader, the first thing I said when I got here was I WOULD LIKE TO POST THESE LETTERS!!!!" The next thing he said was, "But, the other day you were in here and you only wanted to know how much it would cost to post something NOT actually post it." I said, "Well yes, I did and when I went in to see you I said I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE COST OF POSTING THIS PARCEL PLEASE BUT I AM NOT POSTING IT TODAY not I WOULD LIKE TO POST THESE LETTERS." Grr.

LOL. I forgot to mention what happened with the real estate agent and the blu tack...so anyways...I went and met her last week, knowing that she would be late so I made sure that I armed myself with a newspaper to pass the time...(yes, she was late!)...so she turns up and walks into my apartment saying wow how clean this place is yadayadayada...I was like...coooool...she hasn't noticed the walls...anyways...she (eventually) noticed the walls and goes "what's this"..."errrr...blu tack"...LOL!!!

Anyways...she goes I'll get the cleaner to take care of that...and I was like...how much do you think it will cost to clean it? She said $50!!!! LOL I had planned on losing like $200-$300 cause it looked like it would have to be repainted. The only other thing they charged me for was a little chip in the wall that happened when I tried to assemble my double bed by myself. LOL won't be doing that again.

Oooher! I'm trying to do open mic again at the Comedy Store this Tuesday! I am hopefully also going to see Adam Hills this weekend...not too sure though!

- EPOD -

Sunday, February 17, 2002

Bahaha. I'm back! Went to the Comedy Store at Fox Studios last night to see Adam Hills, who was absolutely brilliant...as was Subby Valentine and MC Fred Lang...I'd rather not comment on what I thought of the other "comic" (slash pervert) that was on last night though.*smirk*.

I also met up with Lyfina last night courtesy of Mr Pedro ;)

It was an interesting experience getting from my new house into the city and to Fox studios and back. So...anyways...I got to Central station thinking that I would walk from there to Fox Studios (cause I usually did that when I was living in the city). Unfortunately though, I looked up at the sky and 95% of it was grey, the remaining 5% was blue...then it started to rain, so I decided to catch a bus there. I got on the bus and I asked the guy how much the ticket was and he goes "70 cents" LOL. He sold me a concession without me even asking for one!

Sooo...I got to Fox Studios and had to make my way past all these rabid Rabbitohs fans who were going to the game last night, which coincidentally was right next to Fox Studios. I went and got my ticket first and then went and grabbed some food before the show. Anyways...I was by myself originally, but that didn't last long. Soon I was accompanied...well...not actually accompanied...the table across from me was occupied by a large group of Hoyts cinema employees whose conversation provided me with (mild) amusement and entertainment while I was eating.

They were talking (amongst other things) about all the narky people that they have had to deal with in the last couple of days. One of them figured that it was because people were still getting over not getting lucky on Valentines day. Another one of them then came to the conclusion that they should have a desparate and dateless night at their cinemas. Unfortunately, their desparate and dateless night idea ran into a bit of a problem when they tried to work out how they could match up both straight and gay people at the same time. LOL. Well...at least I *think* that is what they were talking about.

I went off and saw the show at the Comedy Store...all the time in the back of my mind slightly worried at how I was going to get home...so yeah it didn't turn out *too* badly. As I left Fox Studios I saw a bus that was going to Central station (yay!) The driver was actually friendly (something unusual!) and said that it might take a while because of all the traffic from the game that had just finished. Traffic turned out not to be too bad though, and I got to Central station with no problems.

Anyways I got on the train alright, found myself a seat on the train that no one was sitting in and went...hmm...hang on a second...why isn't anyone else sitting here? I glanced downwards and saw a lovely big patch of vomit. Needless to say, I moved on! I got to the station closest to where I live and the rain started to absolutely pour down! In the 15 minutes it took me to get home I got absolutely saturated. Was all good fun though (not).

EPOD REMEMBERS STUFF

Well...I went back and did standup at the Comedy Store on Tuesday again. I wasn't perfect but I was very happy with myself cause I did the full five minutes and remembered almost everything, including some new bits and pieces which I added in since last time. Oh yes...and people laughed, which is always a good thing :)

I was a bit nervous actually on Tuesday cause some people who I used to work with said that they were maybe going. Anyways, neither of them had shown up by the time I went in so I figured that I had been seriously rejected. Turned out that a couple of the people who said they were going, did show up, they had just arrived late..I didn't know this though until the show had finished when they came and said hi.

Anyways we hung around outside the Comedy Store for ages talking and then they gave me a lift to Central Station. I was going to attempt to catch a train home but I got too freaked out hanging around and getting lost in the almost deserted Central Station, so I walked up to Railway Square hoping that there would be buses still running. I didn't think they would be, but thankfully they were. Sooo yeah. Got home safely :)

Oooher! Adam Richard is going to be at the Comedy Store for an entire week! Wooohooo! Excellent!

EPOD SENDS A EMAIL TO MR RIMINTON ;)

Well, I finally got something off my chest that has been troubling me for quite some time, so last night I sent an email to Hugh Riminton who is the host of Nightline on Channel 9. It went a little bit like this :

Hi

I am an avid viewer of Nightline, and while I find the show informative and entertaining, I do believe that that a certain segment of the show needs some work.

Every night, when the lights go out, I've noticed (well everyone in my household - even the neighbours have noticed...well maybe just me) that you sit there and do exactly the same thing - ruffle papers for a second and then put your pen in your pocket. There needs to be some originality injected into this part of the show, something there to keep the viewers interested.

It is because of this that I offer the following suggestions which I hope will assist you with making this part of the show a bit more interesting for your viewers. Below is a weekly plan of new and interesting things that you could do every day, instead of the boring old ruffling papers and putting your pen in your pocket routine.

Monday : re-adjust tie
Tuesday : spin pen on desk
Wednesday : raise eyebrow and shrug
Thursday : have a drink take a panadol (or eccy - kidding)
Friday : unbutton top button of shirt

I do trust that the ideas that I have put forward will be invaluable to you and look forward to seeing them included in Nightline in the future.

Thankyou very much for your time.

Epod :)

Sooo...everybody watch Nightline to see if he comes through with the requests or not. Bahahahaaha.

MR HUGH WRITES BACK!!!!

Bahahhahaa!!! He wrote back and (amongst other things) said to make sure I was watching tonight ;)

NIGHTLINE

Oh, I am soooooo impressed!!! Last night on Channel Nine's, Nightline, instead of doing the normal shufflethepaperspickupthepenshufflethemabitmorestickpeninpocket manouver (TM), Mr Riminton did a bit of a paper shuffle, got more papers handed to him, smiled, said "thanks mate" (or something like that) and then put his pen into his pocket. I can't wait to see what they come up with tonight;) Errmm..anyone who doesn't understand what I'm on about here, please read yesterday's post (February 21, 2002). That way you will realise that I didn't forget to take my medication (this time) - thanks.

Ah...and I have sent off another email to Mr Hugh...

Greetings.

Thank-you for your email, it was very much appreciated.

I was aware that many years of training, hard work and preparation would have gone into the shufflethepaperspickupthepenshufflethemabitmorestickpeninpocket manouver.

In fact, it was blatantly obvious from watching you perform the shufflethepaperspickupthepenshufflethemabitmorestickpeninpocket manouver that not just anyone (for example, Sandra Sully) could pull this off as successfully or with as much class as you.

I just very strongly believe that you have the talent to increase your repertoire enough to include other things just as impressive as your shufflethepaperspickupthepenshufflethemabitmorestickpeninpocket manouver.

Tonights paper handling activities were impressive, and perhaps worthy of an Oscar nomination, however, I do believe that with a bit more effort, teamwork and creativity you can make the close of Nightline even more dramatic and exciting.

Speaking of paper handling have you ever got a paper cut live on air? Actually, has any newsreader ever got one? Also, have Channel Nine ever considered putting something that glows in the dark on your desk for when they switch the lights out at the end bit? Or a disco light perhaps? Maybe not.

I will most certainly keep watching Nightline with much anticipation (unless the movie before the news puts me to sleep)

Thanks :)
Epod

THE RIMINTON REPORT

Ookies. From now on theres going to be a little section on my site called the Riminton Report which says what happened on Nightline the previous night in case (heaven forbid) anyone missed it!

Well...tonight he didn't just shuffle his papers, he shuffled the papers around for a second then he halved the pile of shuffled papers....then put the other half back on top of the original pile of papers he was shuffling. Pretty special stuff. Another incredibly moving Nightline moment.

Tuesday, February 26, 2002

Hmm. I don't think that Mr Riminton is playing along anymore. Awww...well it *was* fun while it lasted...or maybe I was imagining he was playing with his tie as requested the last couple of nights *sigh*.

Well...I spent today fixing some grand f*ckups. Didn't get around to actually fixing my life, but I did fix a couple of (small) components of it.

Ever since I moved I've had all my mail sent to a post office rather than my home address, and I have been missing some letters that I was expecting to recieve...so...after a week of stressing over them *allegedly* getting lost in the mail, I finally decided to speak to a manager and he disappears out the back for a couple of minutes and then comes back with a handful of letters and says "don't ask!" After further questioning, he said that the letters were stuck in the wrong place in their filing system. Why thank you very much. Luckily, he and the other staff were *very* nice so I didn't yell at them...this time.

Next problem was a parcel that I hadn't recieved which I bought from someone in the US in December on Ebay. I figured something not right was going on there since I get all my parcels to the US in around 10 days. Soo...I went to the other post office where I used to collect parcels. Surprise, surprise...they have the parcel and it was delivered on the 19/02/02. Fantastic, considering that I *allegedly* have mail forwarding in place which started earlier in February when I moved out.

Hmm. yeah that's about it.

EPOD HAS A CRAP WEEK

Well, I've moved on up and instead of just having say...5 bad days out of the possible 7 in the week, I actually had 7 bad days. Well actually, count that as 6 and a half bad days. Last Monday started out really well and then slowly progessed right down to the usual deplorable depths I have become accustomed to. My week has progessed in the same manner, hence lack of posts. I just couldn't be stuffed saying I was having a bad day every single day and explaining why. I guess I will do that now. *smirk*

So...where do I start? Well people are screwing me around. I detest being screwed around. I have been screwed around by countless people this week.

First cab off the rank is Ebay - I am sick of idiots who bid without asking questions first and then expect me to go along with their (moronic) way of thinking after they've bid and the auction is finished. Then there are the countless bidders who bid but don't bother paying!!! I don't think people realise that Ebay is the only way that I have to support myself. I haven't gone to get the Dole since I was unemployed but I am seriously considering it.

For your entertainment, here's an entire communication with a winning bidder of mine. This is the worst person ever that I have dealt with on Ebay. I have been nice enough to leave their user id, total price and also the item that they bought off so they can't be identified.

_____________________________________________________

Congratulations on winning my auction for the ###.

Total costs are as follows :

#### $ #####AU
Postage $22.50 AU
Total $##### AU

I prefer payment by Paypal (http://www.paypal.com)

Total cost in US$ = $####

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks :)
Epod

Now, before I go any further...an explanation of the postage prices for those reading my diary - they include the postpack and the postage charges from Australia to America for this particular item. This is for delivery within 7-10 days. There are other postage options but they are coming up...also note that the prices quoted were in Australian $ - in US$ it is about half of that! Oh and to get an idea of the conditions which are in each and every one of my listings, you might want to check out some of my ebay auctions so that you know what I'm on about!

_____________________________________________________

Greetings and good morning! 'Hope you're enjoying your tea. I nearly spit mine out when I saw the shipping charge. Oh dear--I had no idea. Don't you have a US military A.P.O OR F.P.O (Air Post Office/Fleet Post Office) nearby? I can send a pulpit-size King James bible to Afghanistan (exactly 1/2 way 'round the globe from here--#####) for about $3.00 US. There MUST be a cheaper way to ship this. I don't mind going "slow boat" as long as the parcel's insured (which I, of course, will pay for.) Ideas please! 'Talk to you soon. Warm regards, #####

_____________________________________________________

Hi

I use Australia Post - Australia post is the only option. I only charge youwhat they charge me for postage/packaging, nothing more.

Shipping within 3-4 weeks is $17.50 AU
Shipping within 2-3 months is $15.50 AU

If you wish to purchase insurance, it is an additional $5.00 AU. I havenever had a parcel I have sent get lost in the mail though, so whether youwish to purchase it is up to you.

Please contact me telling me how you wish to pay and which shipping optionyou prefer and I will email you the total in US$.

Thanks :)
Epod

_____________________________________________________

Given that you did not disclose the horrific shipping charge on your eBay listing and that I was the only bidder (I did not take a sale from you that you otherwise would have had), I'm terribly sorry but the deal's off. As you can see from by rating (0), I am brand new to eBay. I always look at the shipping cost of an item would never bid $####AU on a #### that was going to cost double that just to ship it. Please accept my appologies. I will keep Australian Post shipping rates in mind when I see items for sale from Australian dealers in the future. With deepest regrets,###### (p.s., have you ever considered investigating FedEx or UPS worldwide?)

_____________________________________________________

Hi

I do apologise, but after bidding you can not call the deal off. (read both my conditions of bidding, and those that ebay provide on each listing page) Your bid IS a legally binding contract.

I don't understand what is so expensive about shipping anyway - the rates were given to you in Australian dollars which means in US$ that is about half of that.

On all my listings I give bidders the opportunity to ask questions before bidding, not after. If you wanted to know the shipping charge of the item, you should have done so before bidding, not after. The listing says that you pay postage and packaging fees.

I post items all over the world where all the shipping costs are different. Obviously I can not put shipping charges to each location in the world up on my listing. (you wont find many sellers on ebay that do this actually) This is why people ask questions BEFORE bidding.

Do you understand that to list the item costs me money as well as there is a final value fee when someone bids on my auction that I must pay Ebay. I am NOT a rich person and rely on my ebay sales to eat, and pay rent. It doesnt leave room for much else.

Please do not suggest to me how to do my job. I use Australia Post, nothing else. This is the only service I can use and I have done hundreds of transactions without any problems.

I look forward to completing the transaction or appropriate feedback will be left.

Thankyou.
Epod

_____________________________________________________

Epod, I've given this matter much more time and thought than a $#### purchase warrants. In fact, this is my 3rd note. I canned the first two. I'm a reasonable woman. You're no doubt, a reasonable person as well. I did peek at your feedback. Many people had many flattering things to say. I see two fair middle-of-the-road options:

(1) I'll pay you $12US, you send the book slow-boat & you're a little ahead.

(2) I'll mail you $2 US (cash) to cover your eBay fee, we'll call it a wash, and both chalk it up to experience.

My eBay vendor friend, ######, said I could stiff you and get a new eBay account (if I couldn't stand people reading mean-spirited things about me). However, I firmly I believe that what goes around, comes around. You're out money you wouldn't be if I hadn't bid. I owe you that much. If you have a brighter idea, I'm open to suggestion. Let me know whatcha' wanna do.-####

_____________________________________________________

Shipping within 2-3 months is $### AU
#### is $#### AU
Total is $#### AU

I have used the currency converter on ebay (http://pages.ebay.com.au/services/buyandsell/currencyconverter.html) to convert the total to US$.

Total in US $13.20.

The $12 you mention is not correct. The correct amount is $13.20. Payment of that amount will complete the transaction.

Sending me $2 US is useless because it costs me $8 AU to change the money to Australian dollars.

I assume that you will be paying the $13.20 via Paypal or Paymate (as mentioned in the auction listing)

Since postage is the issue, you could also just pay me for the book. (and me not send it to you)

_____________________________________________________

I don't call that a middle of the road solution. In management, we call that win-loose (you win, I loose). The thrust of my last message was, a loose-win (you loose, I win) option doesn't seem fair to me either. I'm looking for a win-win solution, here. If the cheapest you can ship it is $#####AU, and the #### is $###AU, I'll send you $12US (money order or cold hard cash you choose) and you can send the book when you get the money. Yes or no?

_____________________________________________________

You have got your totals WRONG. The cheapest quote I gave you was $15.50 AU for shipping. If you wish for me to resend the email to you I will.

I have cut and pasted the other email I sent you here :

Shipping within 2-3 months is $15.50 AU
####is $###AU
Total is $25.50 AU

I have used the currency converter on ebay (http://pages.ebay.com.au/services/buyandsell/currencyconverter.html) to convert the total to US$.

Total in US $13.20.

The $12 you mention is not correct. The correct amount is $13.20. Payment of that amount will complete the transaction.

Sending me $2 US is useless because it costs me $8 AU to change the money to Australian dollars.

I assume that you will be paying the $13.20 via Paypal or Paymate (as mentioned in the auction listing).

Additional information :

If you send cash it will cost an additional $4 US. If you send me an international money order it will cost you an additional $7.50 US. This is the fee my bank charges to cash these things. THIS IS WHY CASH OR INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS ARE NOT MENTIONED IN MY LISTING!!! This is why I say in my listing to EMAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING IF YOU WISH TO PAY ANOTHER WAY THAN THOSE LISTED.

Feel free to recheck the listing. I have done NOTHING wrong. I owe you no favours. (ie I don't need you to tell me about "win win" situations etc) You bid on the item, you agreed to all the terms. You had time to email me - the auction went for TEN days to check the price for shipping. The auction listing also says quite clearly that I charge standard Australia Post charges for shipping!!! If you were concerned about shipping, you SHOULD HAVE EMAILED ME FIRST.

If you don't wish to pay, that is fine but I will leave you appropriate feedback and file a non paying bidder alert to ebay.

_____________________________________________________

Ookies...so I woke up this morning and this person had paid me by Paypal and chosen the HIGHEST rate of shipping after all the whining that they had done about it. Some people really need to be slapped. It is such a pity that I am not a violent person. Anyways, here's their last charming email. I did not bother justifying it with a response :

Note I paid for top-of-the-line shipping. If you'd simply said that Pay Pal would give me a $5 credit just for signing up (which would cover about half the cost of shipping the book, I'd have said "you're a genious and called you a prince. 'Ain't happenin' now! 'Guess I'll get my book in about a week, right? -######

_____________________________________________________

One more note to elaborate on the Paypal thing mentioned above...the auction listing SAYS I accept payment by Paypal, Paymate or direct debit and to email me BEFORE BIDDING if bidders want to use another method.

Now...assuming this person actually read my entire listing before bidding (which they OBVIOUSLY didn't) am I to assume that they don't have a Paypal account and suggest that they get themselves an account so that they can get a $5US credit to help them with postage? I think not - particularly if they are being so rude.

If this person was really concerned with postage, they would have chosen the cheapest rate which would have cost them even less than this. That is the thing that is so unbelieveable about the whole thing. They whine about postage being so expensive and then they go for the most expensive rate in the end anyway!

_____________________________________________________

Anyways...moving on...next person who's screwed me around. There is a friend of mine who is visiting from Brisbane for the weekend...anyways I rang her earlier today and said that I would be coming over to see her later today...so...anyways...I caught the train to see her...got there...and she's like...oh me and my family are going out to dinner so I can't talk for long. I was there for under half an hour.

Thank you so much for wasting my time and my money (which I don't have a lot of). She even said for me to come over tomorrow when my other friend goes over and I said that no I wouldn't be there. I mean it was nice to catch up even though it was only a little time but still...grrrr...she *could* have sent me an SMS saying she was going out and I wouldn't have bothered!

Also, there are some people who just do not understand when they are NOT wanted. I went to catch up with someone I used to work with earlier this week...and on the way to meet them I ran into someone else that I used to work with. So, anyways...there was about 15 minutes to spare between when I was meeting the other person so I figured I would chat with her for a while.

I told her I was there to see this other person to meet up for dinner and then she just hung around and did not leave when I ended up meeting them. Sure, they both know each other and work together but it was like...can you please just F*CK OFF? I like you and everything but I haven't got to catch up with this (other) person properly since I left...anyways...because she was there the conversation denegrated into Buffy/Angel etc etc. Oh and we didn't grab anything to eat, we just stood outside for half an hour chatting. Almost a waste of a perfectly good half an hour methinks. The conversation would have been completely different if she wasn't there.

So, yeah I like her, she's a nice person but yeah. Timing. Timing. Dammit.

Hmm. Also, there was someone who was supposed to invite me over to their place to help them do a website...they haven't contacted me either sooo yeah...and I know you read this diary sometimes...so CONTACT ME DAMMIT!!! I am going insane not having anything inspiring to do all day!!!!

Oh...and what would my whinge be without mentioning the Post Office. Oookies. So now I have a *nice* Post Office supervisor manager person who looks after my mail and makes sure it is *allegedly* sorted into the right place so that nothing goes missing. He's very nice and all but well...there seems to be some other letters that have gone walkabout. Grrr.

Hmm...here's something cool I found on the net sometime...something funny to balance out all my whining!

Ooher...and something else special that I got forwarded in my email...I added the smiley faces to make it funnier though...

RESIGNATION

I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year-old again.

I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant.

I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks.

I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them.

I want to return to a time when life was simple; When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care.

All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset.

I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest and good.

I want to believe that anything is possible. I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again.

I want to live simple again. I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow.

So . . . here's my cheque book and my car-keys, my credit card bills and my 401K statements. I am officially resigning from adulthood.

And if you want to discuss this further, you'll have to catch me first, cause........

......"Tag! You're it."

Hmm...that's about it from me for the moment...

Oh gawd...no post for a week. I am slack. I will have to get back to posting every day like I did when I started writing this. It's just that my life has changed fairly dramatically since I started writing this diary in January and well...there isn't so much to whinge about anymore!

Nothing too dramatic happened this week. Except for the day that I went exploring when there were no public buses due to the 2 day strike. See...what happens when I go exploring is that I walk around aimlessly until I hopefully find somewhere interesting to be. If I fail to find somewhere interesting to be (or get too tired/lazy to walk anymore) I catch a bus.

With no buses to catch, the exploring situation got a bit interesting when I was absolutely exhausted/tired/hungry etc. I did eventually find a train station though and got into the city okay :) Then I went and got $20 out of the ATM. Well...correction...I went to the ATM, asked for $20 and walked away after I got my card but not my cash. Good one Epod.

I didn't go to the Comedy Store this week to do open mic cause I have had too much stuff to think about (as well as having bugger all money as well). I think I will give it a miss for a couple more weeks until I can get my head together. Grr. I really did want to go there this week to see Adam Richard but yeah...oh well...maybe next time :(

Woooohoo!!! Mr Riminton has been playing games again. Bahahha. I am impressed.

Omigawd. Just when I think things were all bad, things started looking up this week. Basically that means that instead of me being morbid and depressed 24 hours a day, I was only morbid and depressed for about half the time! Yay for me.

Well...where do I start? Hmm. How about yesterday when I was walking around the city aimlessly and I saw this guy I used to work with at Segaworld. Funny thing was that I was thinking about him and some other people from there just the other day and to run into him after not seeing him for like two years or something was very cool. He looked like he was in a hurry but he was too nice to admit it.

He fared better than the last Sega employee that I ran into...the last time I ran into someone from Segaworld I almost crash tackled them hehe. Sega was definately the best place I have ever worked and I miss the people from there so much because they were the best group of people I have ever worked with. Pity the pay was so crap or I would have stayed there until it closed down!

Ahhh. Watching Mr Rimintons' antics on Nightline is still making me laugh...ahhahaha what have I done? Teehee. He's done some classic paper handling moves the last few days....ooher! Today, I think, for the first time ever he didn't put his pen in his pocket!!!! Actually, I thought I had missed Nightline tonight because the Footy Show was on when I got home and it was about 1am when Nightline came on. But yeps I saw it, and as usual I was nothing but impressed.

Something else very cool. Groove Terminators' new single is coming out very soon. I am seriously happy about that :) He's filming a video for it next week. I'm so excited you could say I'm excited! I've asked if I can watch it being made on the premise that I will be doing a write up about it on my Groove Terminator site...I can hear a no ringing in my ears already...but oh well...

I went cd shopping the other day...well not "proper" cd shopping (ie spending $200 plus)...but I *had* to go in and buy Kosheens' single, "Catch" and then stumbled across the 28 days / Apollo 440 single "Say What?" so I grabbed that as well. There are hundreds of other things I want to buy but unfortunately I don't have the cash at the moment :(

Speaking of music, I'm going through another of my Cure phases. Just listening to them over and over again...watching all their videos. I broke the cycle though last night by watching my tape of when Groove Terminator guest programmed rage :) But...um...well, guess what's in the cd player at the moment...?

Oooher. Epod did something naughty today. Hehe. I had to go into the city but I only had a small amount of money so I bought a student ticket to the city from the machine. Problem is I'm not a student LOL. So...I'm sitting waiting for the train to come and I see these Police and I'm like...faaaark! So...anyways...the nice policeman asked me if I had a ticket and I said "yes". He looked at it and goes "that's fine" LOL LOL LOL. See, I thought he was going to ask for student ID, but he didn't. Hehe. Having a huge backpack full of Ebay parcels has it's advantages...I look like a student with a bag full of books. hehe.

Ookies so there's all the happy smiley stuff taken care of...onto the morbid and depressing! Yay! First stop...um...couples. I am sick of seeing happy couples. Hell, I'm even sick of seeing unhappy couples! I have liked this one person for months now and well..there's a...erm...small problem...he's um...got a girlfriend. Which...isn't as bad as it sounds, because when I first met this guy I thought he was gay...so to hear that he had a girlfriend was quite a relief. LOL.

Anyways...so I don't really get to see him anymore and it's well...pretty devastating...and...since I'm not the stalking type I probably won't be seeing him for a long time. I mean...I get the occasional email from him but it's not the same as sitting down and having a conversation you know ? *sob* :(

When I first got into a conversation with this guy I was amazed how much he told me about himself and that he just talked...and talked...and talked. I mean...like...I talk a lot and well...I have never met anyone who talks as much as me....until then! But yeah. He is taken and...well...I don't want to go messing about with someone who is taken anyways. I am happy to be friends.

My flatmates (a couple mind you) have told me to forget about him and not even be friends but well....noooooo....when I meet someone special I'm not just going to just forget about them like that. People who always are part of a couple just DO NOT understand what it is like for people like me who just have crushes on people and don't get to do anything about it! I have a special knack for picking married, gay or taken guys. Looking and no touching is no fun! (at least I can't catch anything LOL)

My flatmate even went as far as to suggest I should try an internet dating site...I was like...noooo way. I will NOT stoop that low...I'll call Introline instead (jokes people, jokes). I just totally disagree with those methods of finding someone...like ewww. Living with a couple has just exacerbated (how the fark do you spell that) what I am missing out on tis all. It's just that couple stuff is in my face all the time and I'm like...awww. I want one too! One without a girlfriend. One that isn't gay, married, (or drunk!)

Well...enough of my whining about couples...what would this diary be without a recounting of a *ahem!*...post office incident? No where I hear you say! Well...have I got an incident for you? Anyone who's been following my post office *ahem!* incidents would know that I have a bit of a problem with a certain male at a certain post office. The lady that works there is really nice, but this guy is just an arrogant piece of trash...

I go to the post office pretty much every day. I do try to go to the one I used to go to in the city to save the grief this guy gives me, but the other day I woke up pretty late and well...I had to post another stack of Ebay parcels away. Anyways...the first person I saw when I went in was him and I was like...please gawd nooo!!! But anyways, the lady was busy and I figured that he might have got the hint to stop giving me grief...but no...

He kept asking what was in each of the parcels I was giving him to post (there was about 10). Now for those who are not up on the *ahem* procedure of posting a large letter (ie something in a postpak that is big in size but pretty much flat, not bulky...) The post office employees have a gauge...now if the letter fits through that gauge it is a large letter...if it DOESN'T fit into the gauge, it is a PARCEL. I have posted hundreds of parcels away, I know these things.

So, I asked why he was asking what was inside the parcels. He said that it was because it didn't matter if they fit through the gauge, if they WEREN'T paper/documents, they would have to go as a parcel. I was like...nooo...if they fit through that gauge they are a large letter, regardless of what is in there. I mean all the stuff I send as large letters are like books etc...so, technically they are paper...but I mean what a waste of time!!!!

He went on to say that there was a bit of a "debate" about this...so I decided to get the *nice* lady involved. Funnily enough she sided with me. I hope she seriously kicked his butt later. Oh, another thing...I asked to get ten of a certain size postpaks too and he said there weren't any. The *nice* lady then said "No, they're out the back". He refused to even believe that they were out the back so she had to go and get them. "Oh...sorry about that" he says. I finally told the guy that I did not want to be served by him in the future because of his dramatics!

I must remember not to go majorly exploring on Monday or Tuesday...the bus drivers are on strike again. Grrrrr! Bus drivers...if you're so unhappy with your pay go and work for um...Maccas or something. I am seriously over your crap!!!

Oh...and as for the footballer...everyone knows who I'm talking about...I hope you lose absolutely everything that is special to you. People who behave like you deserve absolutely everything you get. You have hurt so many people that *allegedly* care about you. How could he possibly think he wouldn't be caught out? Of course he's sorry now and wants to make up with the wife and oh it was a big mistake. Males hey? Oh and to think I said up there I wanted one.

I am seriously happy today. I finished a site that I have been thinking about doing for a while. It's quite possibly the first ever Hugh Riminton fan site LOL. Click here to see it! I am probably going to add some more bits and pieces to it when I get around to it. Ah, now I'm all inspired to work on epodcentral!

Saturday, March 23th, 2002

You are going to find this hard to believe, but I actually went out last night. Sure, it was because I had free tickets but well...I went out...ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!!!...so yeah....*clap*...I went to see Tom Gleeson and Sarah Kendall at the Big Laugh Festival at the Parramatta Riverside theatre. I got two free tickets that originally were going to be for Thursday, but the Thursday show got canned so I went last night instead :)

Hmm. Two free tickets you say? Ho hum. Yeah I would have *liked* to have taken a boy but well...no boys were available (oh what a surprise!) so I gave the ticket away to a *nice* girl instead. Someone I don't really know too well but at least I was able to give it away...so all was well and such. Travelling to Parramatta from where I live was painful though. I miss living in the city and being close to everything and being able to catch trains and buses and things without changing platforms and pissfarting around etc.

Nonetheless...I got there safely and just on time too. I was hoping to eat somewhere before the show but by the time I got there there was less than half an hour until the show started so I gave it a miss. I went exploring and found Maccas down the road after the show finished. I then wandered back to the train station and caught the train back to the city. I decided it would be a better idea to catch a bus home as it would take me closer to my place than the train did...so...I went through the (unmanned) gates at Central and waited...and waited...and waited...for a bus to arrive.

When the bus arrived I got the pleasure of being crammed into a lovely crowded bus full of loud drunk people. Not good. I don't drink and I don't particularly like being in the company of riotiously drunk people either. All I could smell when I walked on the bus was alcohol! Hmm. Anyways...aside from that I got home okay. I was tired as and I told the flatmates I was definatly going to bed early. Unfortunatly though I got distracted with my Ebay auctions and went to bed finally at around 5am. Ooopies.

I'm going to do standup at the Comedy store this Tuesday again. It's been a few weeks since I've done any standup stuff so I am really looking forward to it. I am going to probably talk a bit about the Nightline shenenigans (ahh...there's another word I can't spell!). Hehe. I can't wait to see how it goes :) LOL...speaking of Nightline...I had to tape it last night because I went out...now, that is SAD!

Hmm. Soooo...what else have I done this week and been too slack to write about...Umm..pretty much spent every day at the post office as I am selling so much stuff on Ebay. Funny thing happened while I was in there the other day...hehe. The guy in the post office who I always whinge about in this diary (and who I have overheard other people whinging about also hehe) actually was full on getting complimented by a customer about how wonderful his customer service was. He made a huge deal about being complimented and I was trying to be discreet by not laughing (too) much.

On Thursday I went into the city and after spending ages at the Post Office to pick up my mail I left and it was raining. I was like...grrr. Couldn't it have waited just a few more hours until it started raining? I was planning on walking a few places but well I ended up just going to my old work to say hi to a couple of people. Saw the two *nice* supervisors. Nice supervisor number one was stuck supervising by himself when he should have already left work for the day. Nice supervisor number two had been sent to another department because he mentioned some things to the union that the store manager wished he didn't. That place truly sucks and they both deserve *much* better.

Anyways...I caught up with nice supervisor number one for not very long at all. He was getting lunch for the manager (read back to my January diary entries to see what I think of this manager *smirk*) Apparently the manager buys him lunch some days and other days he buys the manager lunch. So yeha. Whateffer. *kick*

I caught up with nice supervisor number 2 and we stood outside talking with the other girl I used to work with (the one who was in the wrong place, wrong time a few diary entries back) and nice supervisor number 2's boyfriend. I got around to saying that my housemates had issued me with a challenge to have 2 boys sitting on the couch in our loungeroom with me. The guys basically said that they would and I was like...yeh but you're not quite the boys that I was after (for those who are slow, they are gay). LOL. So she says "You obviously don't know about their past lives". I was like yeah...but they're still not quite the boys I am after. hehe. I've watched enough Jerry Springer episodes to know that those things just don't work!

I got some photos developed that day of my old apartment which I had taken before I moved out. Almost wanted to cry looking at them :( I miss my apartment in the city so much! Everytime I go past it in the train it's like awwww :( Not that there's anything wrong with where I'm living now but well...I was living at my Surry Hills apartment for over 3 years so obviously I got a bit attached to it.

Oooher! One more thing I forgot to mention...Things Of Stone and Wood are back! Woo! I caught them on Good Morning Australia inbetween all the infomercials *yawn* last week and saw their new film clip on Rage last night. Those guys are seriously cool. I saw them years ago when I was still living in Mackay and they...um...rocked (for want of a better word!) They are touring again but I think they were on somewhere in Sydney last night so I *think* I've missed them. Hopefully I will see them again sometime soon though :)

Wednesday, March 27th, 2002

It's 5.20 am and I really *should* be asleep but I'm still having troubles sleeping. Well...correction...I'm not having troubles sleeping as such, I'm having trouble sleeping at night like normal people. One good thing though about being awake all night is that channel nine screens the super cool show "Whose Line is it Anyway?".

Ahh...now if only they would screen episodes of it all night instead of all the other crap they show. They claim that they are an infomercial free channel but some of the shows they show in the early hours of the morning are so crap that they might as well be showing informercials!

I *was* intending to trial the material I wrote on my site at the Comedy Store last night, but unfortunately it didnt happen. I *was* there, but the open mic show was cancelled due to lack of audience :( It was a bit disappointing as I was *really* looking forward to seeing how the new material went...but...I *will* be back next week at the Comedy Store. I'm also going to start going to as many other open mic nights that I can. The Laugh Garage has open mic night this Thursday, so I might check that out.

Anyways, after I left the Comedy Store, I walked back to Railway Square to catch a bus. As usual, when I'm walking somewhere, it started to rain...but it wasn't too bad and it (as usual) gave me a chance to think about a lot of stupid things.

Hmm...that's about it for now as I'm feeling quite uninspired :(
