Funny Kids - Learn to be a stand-up comic!

Are you a funny kid and would you like to be part of the Big Joke Comedy Festival?

Mandy Nolan is running a stand-up comedy workshop for kids in the school holiday period that ends in a performance at the Big Joke Comedy Festival in Bangalow on Saturday 16 February, 2008.

The workshop comprises 3 days training, a one to one writing session with Mandy, two rehearsals and a final on stage performance.

Workshops are to be held in Byron Bay and are divided into two age groups of 8 to 10 yr olds and 11 to 16 yr olds.

21st, 22nd & 23rd January - workshop plus half hour 1:1 writing session with Mandy
3rd & 10th February - rehearsal
16th February - performance

The cost of the workshop is $120, with limited places available.

Stand-up comedy helps kids develop vital skills like confidence, perspective and resilience. Funny Kids is a show that really shows the intelligence of our children. It allows kids to delve into their inner selves and express the kind of issues that perplex them – like bullies, not being allowed to shop at Supre by their hippy mum, and much more!
