The Village Idiot is the search by the Bangalow Big Joke Festival for the newest & hottest stand up talent.

There were 4 Village Idiot heats run at the Bangalow A&I Hall & The Urban from Friday to Sunday which culminated in a Grand Final at the Bangalow Pub on Sunday afternoon.

First prize of $500 from the Bangalow Chamber of Commerce went to Lap Phan. This page contains photos of various people vying for the enviable title of "Village Idiot".
