The Night I Died
Comics all over the world have died in the name of their craft, whether that be at Biker's Clubs, theatres or live broadcasts.
For some unexplained reason, it all wasn't alright on the night. For new comics, a stage death can be devastating. Established comics are more battle savvy.
At the 2008 Bangalow Big Joke Festival, Anthony Morgan, Mandy Nolan, Jonathan Atherton, and Gordon Southern, shared how they coped with stage 'death' and lived to kill again!
When someone asked Anthony Morgan, 'Is comedy like therapy', he mused thoughtfully 'Yes, except you only tell your side of the story. And everyone claps. So you go home thinking you are right. I don't necessarily think that is a good thing.'
